May Update--What's Next?

I have 2 grandmother affected by memory loss my mom's mom is quickly being taken by alzheimers and my other grandmother is gone in her mind by dementia caused by strokes. It is a hardship all the way around and hurts me deeply. It is also very hard on my children. So many people suffer in silence and so many of the families geet angry and suffer iun silnce because there seems to be quite a stigma attached to it. That kills me. i hate this disease and what is doing to everyone!

 GRANDMA'S: MY THOUGHTS

Remembering the days when you had grandmas soft hands hold yours? That even with those soft tender hands you felt lit up and safe inside. There's something about a grandma that touches us deeper than other family. How they keep a family tradition going, family getogethers are synonomous with grandmas house. Grandmas homemade cooking, sewing and knitting. The wonderful stories they tell us of our parents youth, as well as their own. My generation is not keeping up with many of those things and I often think about how my grandchildren will be affected by that. Grandmas have that soft flowery smell that just makes you want to cuddle with them for long periods of time. As you look upon their slowly withering and soft wrinkling ("laugh lines" my grandma once told me) on their face you melt. No one on earth can make you feel what a grandmother makes you feel. It's like once your a grandmother you begin to grow your angel wings. To see pain in their eyes brings tears to yours and you would give your everything to see that look taken  away from her. So when grandmothers slip away into darkness, when they see you; but no longer know you, you know that pain is deep. I have 2 grandmothers in which darkness has come to take them away. This darkness called alzheimers is taking my grandmothers away. One's in a home, another on the way. It's hard seeing my grandmother so beautiful a person, so happy. She looks at me and I look at her searching, hoping somewhere she sees me. My heart is screaming out-WHY? Why can't you remember me?Why are you here in body and not in mind?I won't cry-must hold back tears grandma wouldn't understand would only add confusion. If only I could make 3 wishes, I'd bring you back to me My sweet, loving, hilarious, honest, inspirational grandmother...

Guys, PLEASE! Stop with the nasty private messages about a  comment I left about a young lady whom I questioned about her age when she was married. It was just a question, and not a rude or disrespectful remark to this person. I will not answer or explain myself any further on the matter.

Hi we need some good used clothing sizes 22-24 women's and size 8-10 shoes, also needed newborn baby clothes baby boy due in may to our older daughter and blankets and toys for baby boy... Also needed baby boy bathing soap, etc to bathe and powder and wipes. And needed size 3-4 little boy or girl clothes granddaughter Amber can wear and granddaughter Kadence wears the girls clothes too. And size 8 little girl shoes also needed size 6-7 little boy clothing and size 9slim-10slim little girl clothes and size 4 women shoe for Makayla... we live in Lilbourn Missouri small town of 1,300 people . no help from these people we moved here in October and they help people who have been here..... With exception that our church helped with electric one time and we paid the ministerial alliance back the next week as promised.... please if you can help it will be greatly appreciated thanks..... kathy baccus address is P.o. Hi my name is Sara I have a 3 year old little girl my boyfriend was laid off in early November and then I was Fired late november. We are strugling financially to make ends meet. I start a new job on Monday but our rent is now late and I need some financail help. Eviction notices go out on the 19th of this month and I wont have a paycheck by then. I used all of the money in my 401k and paid everything I could. My boyfriend has not been lucky enough to find work yet but we are hopeful he will either be called back or find work soon. Our bills are behind again and any help would be helpful. Also our lights are on disconnect and next is the gas. I have tried everything and have been unable to get help this is my last resort. You are a truely amazing person, to give so much to another family. The only thing I am looking for is winter clothing for my two children. They are in need of pants,sweatshirts or sweaters. Nickey, Thanks for sharing your story. I know how frustrating it can be to find sizes that are not widely available, andnot have the money to buy the correct sizes. I noticed that garage sales seem to be held by people who wore a size 4 or smaller. :-) Hang in there, and with your comment, you are automatically entered into the drawing here. Good Luck! Marsha

I think it is great what you are doing. I have lost 40 lbs and have no pants. Went to garage sales today to try to find some. Will be donating size 24 to someone who needs them. I now wear a 19 no such thing so i am really having trouble finding used. On a really fixed budget so going to mall is out of the question. My son's shoes come first.

Marsha, I came by your page today. When I read it I started to cry. I don't know what to say. You are truly a wonderful, kind person. Thank you for the kind words, and the help. Because of you I really have gained hope. I know that there are people out there like you, and trust me, when I do get on my feet again, I will do whatever I can to help others.
